The Blue Belles performed last weekend in their annual Christmas show for a full crowd. The show was two hours long and contained a variety of different Christmas music, routines and dancers.

“My favorite part about Christmas show is our traditional opener dance,” junior Mykala Daigle said. “You can feel the crowd’s excitement while you’re dancing.”

The performance showcased different high school and middle school dancers, but also kids from Pre-K to 6 grade that participated in the Blue Belle’s dance clinics. The Blue Belles choreographed their whole dance and helped perform with them on stage.

“It gives [the little kids] a chance to get on stage and a chance to dance during the day with the Blue Belles and it helps promote our program,” Blue Belle director Susan Schubert said. “The kids come to the clinic when they’re little wanting to be Blue Belles. My favorite part is seeing them when they’re little and they come to highschool and tryout and then make the team.”

The Blue Belles danced to some new performances as well as their traditional Carol of the Belles, Christmas Eve in Sarajevo and God Bless the USA which was attributed to veterans in the crowd and around the world.

“What makes this show different is probably the variety of dances we do,” senior Hannah Faubion said. “We want to keep our audience interested, so we try to make sure we are giving them a good variety of dances to watch.”

The Blue Belles next performance will be for their annual Spring Show.
