The Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation, or LEEF, is hosting the Mudstacle and Family Adventure Run on October 25 at Vista Ridge.

The Mudstacle is a 3.1-mile (5K) combination mud and obstacle course where participants will have to climb, crawl, and run to get to the finish line. The waves offer varying lengths and obstacle difficulties. Come early and stay late to enjoy the food booths, give-aways from local businesses and an interactive kid zone featuring bounce houses, face painting and more.

Children 12 and under can participate for $15. Individuals can register for $25 until October 12, $30 until October 24, and $35 on the day of the race. For team registrations, visit the LEEF registration website. One team has been registered for the advanced theatre class.

“My parents work for the district,” senior Elias Martinez said. “We run 5ks as a family all the time, so it just sort of happened.”

Race day packets, which will include T-shirts and race numbers, can be picked up on October 24 at Rogue Running in Cedar Park on the corner of 1431 and Parmer from 5-7 p.m., or the morning of the race.

Proceeds contribute to the support and the expansion of LEEF programs such as innovative teaching grants, textbook scholarships for high school students enrolled in dual credit courses through ACC, distributing free children’s books to LISD families, and College & Career readiness initiatives.
