The Blue Belles performed on April 26, 27, 28 and 29 in their annual Spring Show. The show was three and a half hours long with an intermission and included a variety of different music, dancers and routines. The show deserves a 3.5 out of 5.

The theme this year was “Milestones”, and the show was a milestone itself for the Blue Belles. With moving performances and rhythmic performances, the show made me feel as if I was a part of something big. Every dance brought to the stage reminded me of a milestone from my life. Each dance was performed with passion.

In between the Blue Belle dances, different dance companies would take the stage. Companies such as MUV, Dancer’s workshop, Leander Middle School and Running Brushy middle school performed different routines while the Blue Belles got dressed for their next dance .My favorite dance not performed by the Blue Belles would have to be “Team” by the Star Dancers because for ten year olds, they looked very coordinated and it looks like they put in a lot of hard work and commitment. Their technique was flawless.

A crowd favorite was the Celebrity dance. Before intermission, the Blue Belles took the stage and performed “No problem” with a guest appearance from junior Dyson Jones as Chance the Rapper. The crowd went wild as soon as Jones came out and started lip syncing. Jones did a great job entertaining the crowd and it looks like he had a lot of fun doing so. I think he fit the part perfectly.

To end the show, the Blue Belles came out in their traditional uniform and performed the ‘Last dance”. Full on high-kicks, cheers and spins, the last dance was also a crowd favorite to watch, and was quite impressive. It was disheartening when the dance was over, as many seniors did not want it to end. It is one of my favorite dances as I think it is a great show closer and it really tied everything together as well as reminded everyone what the Blue Belles are all about.
I am glad I went not only to watch but to also support all of my friends who performed. I cannot wait to see what the theme will be next year and I am looking forward to see what new things the Blue Belles have to bring to the stage.
