1.) Bluegrass – The Lowest Pair : features the duel banjo picking of Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee. Draped in Kendl’s high lonesome harmonies and Palmer’s Midwest croon, their debut release, 36¢ (Team Love Records), was hailed by many outlets and American Songwriter praised their “earnest, earthy songcraft.” On Feb 24, 2015, Team Love released their sophomore album, The Sacred Heart Sessions. www.thelowestpair.com

2.) Classical – line upon line percussion group : Formed in 2009, line upon line percussion is committed to seeking new ways for percussion instruments to advance contemporary music. To date, the ensemble has commissioned and premiered a dozen new works for percussion. Lineuponlinepercussion.org

3.) Electronic – MPeach : MPeach (a.k.a. Mariana Martín Capriles) is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Her experimental music is strongly influenced by a combination of Changa Tuki (Venezuela’s native ghetto-dance music), Afro-Caribbean beats and melodies rooted in traditional Venezuelan folk culture. 4.) Jazz – Velvet Caravan : Velvet Caravan is one of the most unusual ensembles in the music business. Combining Gypsy, Honky-Tonk, Swing and Latin, this band plays upbeat tunes from all over the world with thunderous virtuosity and relentless sense of humor.

6.) R&B – Bridget Kelly : Bridget Kelly (born April 8, 1986), is an American singer and songwriter from New York City, New York. In 2008, Kelly, a pop and R&B recording artist, who has written songs for fellow American singers such as Kelly Clarkson, secured a recording contract with American rapper and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z’s record label, Roc Nation. www.bridget.nyc

7.) Rock – Awolnation : Awolnation (usually stylized as AWOLNATION) is an American electronic rock band, formed and fronted by Aaron Bruno, formerly of Under the Influence of Giants, Hometown Hero and Insurgence. One of their hit singles is “Sail.” awolnation.com

8.) Singer Songwriter – Ben Arthur : an American singer-songwriter. He has released multiple full-length recordings and shared stages with several notable acts. benarthur.com

9.) Tejano – Intocable : Intocable (Untouchable) is a Tejano/Norteno musical group from Zapata, Texas that was started by friends Ricky Muñoz and René Martínez in the early 1990s. In a few years, Intocable rose to the top of the Tejano and Norteno fields with a musical signature that fused Tejano’s robust conjunto and Norteño folk rhythms with a pop balladry. Intocable is perhaps the most influential group in Tejano and their tough Tejano/Norteño fusion has become the blueprint for dozens of Tex-Mex groups. The group’s style, which combines romantic, hooky melodies, tight instrumentation and vocal harmony, is consistently imitated by other Tejano and Norteño groups, including Iman, Duelo, Costumbre, Solido, Estruendo, Intenso, and Zinzero. www.grupointocable.com
