The Lions played against Vista Ridge on February 21, with a final score of 1-5.

We could’ve done better with keeping possession of the ball. We also had a lot of chances to score but we kept getting blocked.

— Sydney Brinkmann

Brinkmann scored the team’s only goal with a header during the second half of the game. Senior Kyah Carlsen almost scored a goal by dribbling past everyone, but missed due to being blocked.

“We prepped for this game by practicing our shots at the goal,”senior Kyah Carlsen said. “It helped us take more shots during the game and it also helped us to take more chances.”

The varsity girls will play away against the Vandegrift Viper’s, Friday February 24. This will be the sixth game of the season.
