The first set for the JV girls ended in a score of 12-25, resulting in a loss for the girls. The second set’s score ended in a score of 21-25, causing this game to be a defeat for the JV Lions.

“We work hard and have already improved a lot this season,” sophomore Hannah Bode said. “[Still], we need to improve on having a lot more energy on the court and working as a team.”

The Varsity team’s first set ended in a score of 20-25 to the Rebels. They came back in the next set however, beating Hays 28-26. They also won the third set, with a score of 25-22, but lost their fourth, with a score of 12-25. The girls then lost the fifth set against Hays, with a score of 11-15, making this an overall loss for the Lions.

“I think we played really good,” junior Busi Banda said. “We continued to play up and didn’t [give up] on ourselves.”

The next game will be against the Lake Travis Cavaliers, at Lake Travis High School, on Friday, October 21.
