The Lions played against Vandegrift on February 24, with a final score of 0-4. On February 28, they faced against Hays and lost 1-5.

We practiced all week to have better control of the ball. It helped us during the game when we had the ball to try to make more shots.

— Sydney Brinkmann

According to Brinkmann, senior Kyah Carlsen and junior Caroline Crones did well with one on one contact when facing against other players. From the 20 yard line, sophomore Gigi Ceka scored the team’s only goal in the game against Hays.

“We are expecting a challenge in our next game,” sophomore Sam Rangel said. “But I think as long as we take practice more seriously, we’ll be okay.”

The varsity girls will face away against Lake Travis Cavaliers this Friday at 7 p.m.
