Due to rain, the softball game against Cedar Park was moved to Monday. The Lady Lions faced a hard fought game against the Lady Timberwolves, but in the end the Lady Lions gained another victory.

“It felt really good,” junior Hailey MacKay said. “It took us a while to make adjustments at the plate, but either way a win’s a win and winning always feels good.”

After the first inning, the Lady Lions trailed 1-0 against Cedar Park. The second, third, and fourth innings were all scoreless as both defenses held. It wasn’t until the fifth inning when the Lady Lions tied the game 1-1. During the sixth inning the Lady Lions scored twice making it a 3-1 lead. After the top of the seventh inning, the scored stayed the same as the Lady Lions won 3-1 against the Lady Timberwolves.

“It feels awesome,” MacKay said. “We’re in a really good place right now and we just have to keep working hard and be sure not to county anyone out.”

The JV Lady Lions started off on the wrong foot, but in the end came back to win the game. JV trailed 5-0 after the first inning. During the second inning the Lady Lions were able to hold Cedar Park and score twice making it a 5-2 game. The third inning was scoreless, but during the fourth the Lady Lions began their comeback making it a 7-5 game. In the final inning, the Lady Lions came back to beat the Lady Timberwolves 9-8. The Lady Lions’ next game will be on the road against Marble Falls.
