Lady Lions claim championship at Lockhart

The Lady Lions Track team did it again with it coming down to an exciting mile relay. The relay team of Carter, Orekoya, Crone and Lavin took 1st place and took over the point totals from Killeen to become team champions at the Lockhart Lion relays!

Placing in the top 6 places and scoring in events were:

Claire Crone, who won both the 3200 and 1600. Paige Ellison won 1st in long jump, 2nd in high jump and 5th in the 100.

Erica Lavin placed 2nd in long jump and 5th in triple. Pardes Larks placed 2nd in the 300 hurdles and 4th in Triple jump.

Taylor Bode placed 2nd in the 800 and 5th in the 400. Kayla Chargois placed 3rd in the 100 hurdles and 4th in the 300 hurdles.

Funmi Orekoya placed 2nd in the 400, Andrea Mateo was 6th in the 100, Maja Dunn 5th in the 100 hurdles, Rayanna Carter 6th in the 200, Cydney Park 5th in the 300 hurdles, and Kimberley Parada placed 4th in the 1600 and 5th in the 3200. In the 4 x 100 relay, the team of Ellison, Lavin, Passe and Orekoya placed 3rd.

In the 4 x 200 relay, the team of Ellison, Carter, Passe and Lavin placed 1st.

The JV also had outstanding performances and placed a close 2nd overall and individual successes will be announced at a later date.
