Bringing back some ‘Glee’

By Haley Hartwick

September 21 marked the anticipated day that millions of Glee lovers had been waiting for, the premiere Glee of Season 2!  This season is to be jam packed with new songs, epic dancing, and of course juicy drama. There are even some new characters including YouTube singing sensation Charice Pempengco who plays Sunshine Corazon, a shy foreign exchange student who’s giving Rachel some vocal competition. Chord Overstreet, otherwise known as Sam Evans, is the new football player around who gives a little competition for Finn, not just on field but also in Glee Club. Sam is also rumored to become a new love interest for Kurt.

But there’s even bigger competition for Sue and Will and it’s the Beiste! Dot Jones plays the new intimidating, female football coach for McKinley High who likes to call herself ‘The Panther’. She becomes a problem for Will and Sue when they cut the cheerleading and Glee Club budget to make room for the new winning football budget. Sue is definitely not going to let that fly, so Will and her are finally teaming up for the first time to become allies!

The love is spreading around too. After a summer in Asian camp together, Tina and Mike Chang are an official item which leaves poor Artie all alone and in search of ways to win Tina back. Emma Pillsbury is finding new love too when she begins dating a dentist, to be played by John Stamos in future episodes, leaving Will fighting to win back her heart.

Other celeb guest stars will include Susan Boyle of ‘Britain’s Got Talent,’ who will be featured in an upcoming Christmas special, actor Javier Bardem set to be a rock star in Season Two, and Britney Spears legend pop singer who will star in an episode dedicated to her music.

Glee is on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox or ABC Family or check iTunes for song and episode downloads.
