The tennis team ended with a loss against Connally with a score of 4-15. The next day, they went up against Dripping Springs and ended with a score of 2-17. Yesterday, they lost to Vandegrift 19-0. Senior Madison Flesner described what the team should improve on. As of now, her overall score for the season is 2-12 and 0-4 for the district.

“[The team needs to improve on] starting at the same intensity we ended on.” Flesner said. “My partner and I started out slow and we got more hyped as it went on.”

She also discussed the warm-ups she thinks the team needs to do.

“We need to make goal oriented warm-ups,” Flesner said. “Just like talking to your partner what you need to do. Moving from what you don’t want to do to what you want to do. It changes your thinking on how you perform.”

Sophomore Emma Aldred, even though with the loss, still had some enjoyment from the matches. Her score in the season so far is 4-12 and for district is 0-4.

“I thought it was fun because my doubles partner and I got to play.” Aldred said. “We did really good rallies and had solid playing and got to practice aggressive play.”

Just like Flesner, Aldred also had some things she thought the team should practice.

“[We need to practice] consistency and execution.” Aldred said. “The people we play against are more consistent than us.”

The next game will be up against the Cedar Park Timberwolves on Friday, September 25th on the home court starting at 4:00 p.m.
