C-Squared had their first meeting on August 31, 2016. The club discussed some of the new changes that will be made this year.

“I was a little disappointed of how many members there were last year,” sophomore Sophie Olenoski said. “This year I hope we can improve on the number of members we get to help rise above the hate.”

C-Squared welcomed a sponsor, Mrs. Hesson, to the group. She will be an assistant to Mr. Edwards and will be making sure everything runs smoothly this school year.

I’m really hoping for a large turnout this year!

“Last year, Mr.Edwards had a lot on his plate,” Olenoski said. “So it’s good we have a new sponsor to help out. I think it will be very beneficial for us.”

The club will be participating in the annual fall forum which will be held at Vista Ridge this year. They will be helping Vista Ridge plan and will have a hand in running it as well.

“I think we can improve on being more involved in the school and community as a whole,” junior Jordyn Farrar said. “I’m really hoping for a large turnout this year!”

As a whole, the members of C-Squared agreed on trying to be more involved in the community and promises to do more projects.

“Being in C-Squared since I was a freshman, I’ve learned that being kind is something that everyone can benefit from,” Farrar said. “Differences don’t have to separate us as people and that love is a culture.”

C-Squared will have their next meeting on Wednesday, September 7 after school in room 1222.
