It’s the two week countdown until Prom 2011 for Leander High School and Cosmetology is getting prepped and ready. Since 2002 Ms. Mullins and her talented cosmetology students have been doing hair and make up for prom with hair only priced at $25 and make up at $10.

This event brings lots of excitement and fun to the cosmetology girls and gives them a real chance to work with clients and gain experience. Axy Petrie who wants to go into the cosmetology business later in life likes to take what her clients want then add her own creative style to it.  “This is a good opportunity to give students what they want. Since we’re also students we understand what their idea is like for the perfect prom look.” Says Petrie.

Charlyn Hudson loves working with all the different people and the different hair and textures. Her favorite part after all the work is seeing the girls’ reactions and how happy they are, making it all worth it. Ms. Mullins highly recommends her students, “They are a very talented group of young ladies who amaze with their work. They are even on the level of some professionals. It’s a very good deal, good hair for a good price with a bonus of fabulous make up for a good price too.”
