iDance

The Blue Belles hosted the third annual iDance show at the Leander High School Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 1p.m. and 7p.m., the evening show selling out completely. All five LISD high school dance teams, Leander, Vista Ridge, Cedar Park, Rouse, and Vandegrift participated, as well as the LISD middle school dance teams.

Four year member Kelsey Nichols said her favorite thing about iDance is the finale. “It’s just a big collaboration of all the different kinds of styles each team brings to the stage. And the very ending is all the seniors from Leander, Vista, and Cedar Park dancing together,” she said.

According to Lindsey Weeks, senior, iDance also brings close relationships with dancers from rival schools. “We spend a lot of time choreographing together, long practices and being organized by grade level” she said.

The Blue Belles performed routines from the previous pep rallies this year including Showdown, Commander, I’m the Purdiest, Telephone and a dance with just the officers from the five schools as the opening and all schools dancing in the finale.

This show represents the love of dance that is shared throughout the LISD district and is very successful in expressing the dedication put forth from each and every talented dancer. And in case you missed it, be sure to come show your support and be prepared to be blown away at the next Blue Belle show in the spring, and don’t miss out on iDance next year.
