Oh, what a beautiful play!

Drama and choir students stunned audiences as they took the stage Jan. 15 with their presentation of Oklahoma! The energy was boundless as they sang and danced their way to well-earned applause.

Student leads in the show are Evan Nasky (Curly) and Ciera Pugh (Laurey). Sharing the spotlight were Halyn Erickson (Ado Annie), Josean Rodriguez (Will Parker) and Mitch Slan (Jud Fry). Aunt Eller (Danielle Farley and Caitlyn Guerra) brought  a downhome sense of humor and touching wisdom to the story.

Directed by Linda Major (drama teacher) with sets by Paul Davis (tech theater ), musical direction by Brian Davis (choral director), and  Selaiden (orchestra conductor ), the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical showcased student talent at its finest.

This musical has long been an ambition of Major, a native of Oklahoma.  She dedicated the musical performances to her parents, AJ and Alene Miller. “They were always so proud to tell people that their youngest daughter was a teacher.”
