In the competition gym on Thursday, 10 seniors participated in the fourth annual Fine Arts Signing Day. A ceremony for seniors committed to studying fine arts in college, including dance, theater or band.
Ivanna Esquivel: “I am going to Austin Community College for two years, then transferring to a four-year university to major in education and minor in dance. I chose to minor in dance because I fell in love with dancing since day one and I’m not ready to let it go just yet. I want to continue learning, dancing and [I hope to] be able to teach the upcoming generations one day.”
Liliana Hardie: “I’m going to Belmont University and I’ll be double majoring in theater and marketing. I was in Annie the Musical as a sixth grader, and that’s when I really fell in love with musical theater. I really love being up on stage and the adrenaline I get from performing. I decided that theater is where my heart is, and I want to make my life full of that love. I found a college that will help cultivate that artistic and musical aspect of my life so I can have a happy and exciting future.”
