The Leander High School Lair yearbook has been nominated for a Star from the Interscholastic League Press Conference, the highest award in Texas for scholastic media.
Since 1925, UIL has honored journalistic excellence across Texas through ILPC contests.
Judges for ILPC review hundreds of publications including yearbooks, websites and news media outlets. At that point, nominees move on to a second round of judging by a panel of journalism education professionals. Winners of the Bronze, Silver and Gold Stars will be announced at the ILPC Spring Convention at the University of Texas at Austin, April 10-12, during the Grand Awards Ceremony.
