8th Grade Night
January 14, 2015
Once again Leander High School has begun preparation for the annual “Pride Night” which will be hosted on January 27th, at 5:30 – 7 p.m. Pride Night is a night devoted to incoming 9th graders to help them learn more about what it means to become a true Leander Lion.
“The incoming freshman are going to be able to see what clubs and organizations we offer on campus through our organization fair,” Transition Coordinator Melissa Wood said, “prior to the big presentation for both parents and students they are going to see what course we offer here at the high school through the actual presentation in the PAC and parents will be able to have a better understanding of what the sequence looks like for those courses.”
From 5:30-6 p.m will be time for the students and parents to meet in The Commons for the “Course Fair.” The clubs and Organizations will have tables set up to give information about what they are, their purpose and how to join.
From 6:15-7:30 p.m the parents and students will meet in the Don Tew Performing Arts Center or the PAC. They will be informed of all the clubs at LHS, how to register for their classes next year, taking IB/AP classes, and LHS’s elective choices.
