Seniors paint parking spots

Money raised goes to support Project Graduation

As the sun was still rising, seniors tried to beat the heat Saturday, Aug. 9, to paint their parking spots both in front of and behind the school.

“This year we had our largest turnout yet—185 seniors signed up to participate,” according to Michelle Lux, assistant principal.

Seniors paid $40 for a parking permit and an additional $40 that goes for Project Graduation.

At 7 a.m., the temperature was officially around 80˚F but it rose to around 90˚F by noon as seniors applied at least two coats of paint and waited for them to try.
