Microsoft ditches Internet Explorer brand

Windows 10 is rumored to be released around early-June.

With Windows 10 coming out soon Microsoft has recently announced that it will not longer use Internet Explorer’s brand.

Microsoft made the decision to support its new browser called Project Spartan according to USA Today. Microsoft has also stated that Project Spartan will not be associated with Internet Explorer and that Project Spartan is a totally new brand and browser.

Head of marketing Chris Capossela said on The Verge that Microsoft will still use Internet Explorer but will also have a second browser for Windows 10 called Project Spartan. Internet Explorer is also 19 years old nearly reaching two decades of use.

There is no known release date yet for Windows 10.
