Book Review: The Chosen One

Over the weekend, I read the book ‘The Chosen One.’  It’s a fairly short book, and it can easily be read in a couple of days.

The book is about a group of polygamists that live in a compound. The main character Kyra is a teenage girl who is chosen to marry her uncle. She is completely appalled by the idea of getting married, especially to her uncle. Kyra doesn’t exactly follow the rules and gets herself into some trouble with the head of the compound. She then tries to escape before her wedding day.

This book is extremely good. The story line is very captivating, once you start reading it you can’t put it down. Also, most people don’t know what goes on in those types of compounds; this book does an excellent job at describing how things work and what is expected of the people who live there. I would recommend this book to anyone. Out of five stars I would give this book 4. The best way to describe this book is it’s short and sweet.
