The JV Lions won in a 43-38 victory against the Eastview Patriots.

“I think we prepared better and we were more focused,” sophomore Blane Smith. “I think we went into the first game thinking that we were going to win by a lot, because we heard they weren’t as good, so this time we knew how they played and we prepared better for the second game.”

The game went scoreless in the first quarter as both defenses held during the quarter. In the second quarter, the Lions led with a 27-18 lead in the first half.

“One of the best teams we’ve played with so far,” sophomore Malcolm Wright said. “Everything was fundamentally sound. We were just all there mentally and physically and it was a really close game last time we played them but we blew them out of the water this time.”

In the third quarter, Eastview scored another 10 points while the Lions scored 4 making it a 31-28 game. The final quarter the Lions scored another 12 points while Eastview scored another 10 making it a 43-38 victory for the Lions.
