In the first game of this season the Boys’ JV soccer team fought hard against the Rouse Raiders in the cold but turned out unsuccessful. The final outcome of the game was 2-1 with the Raiders taking the last goal in the final minute of the game.

The team played good for their first game and they were very well prepared for it to. Practice began right after Thanksgiving break taking advantage of all the time they could. Surprisingly the cold worked as an advantage for the Lions. The cold made the grass slick making it easy for one of the players to trick up the goalie and make the first goal of the season for the team.

“Some of the players aren’t in the class and only get to practice with the rest of the team after school,” Girard said. “They could work on their team chemistry but otherwise they’re great.”

The next JV game will be on Tuesday, January 13, at 5:30 against Eastview HS at Bible Stadium.
