JV boys’ soccer beat Vandegrift 2-1. This win moves their district record to 5-3-1 and their overall record to 6-4-2. The Lions then lost to Cedar Park 1-0. Goals were scored at the Vandegrift game by freshman Angel Ruiz and sophomore Louis Montes in the extremely windy and cold conditions on Wednesday.

“It was a hard fought game very similar to the first game we played vs Cedar Park”, Coach Grayless said. “[We] just could not score.”

Coach Grayless mentioned sophomore Frankie Cortes, sophomore Chris Gauthier, junior Alex Ramirez and sophomore Andrew Zenk as outstanding players at the Vandegrift game. At the Cedar Park game, Coach Grayless wanted to recognize Zenk, freshman Connor Hoglund and sophomore Orlando Castro.

The Lions play Marble Falls next tomorrow at Bible Stadium at 5:30 p.m.
