Lions take on the Eagles
The season is going well for the JV boy’s soccer team. Last week the Lions took on the Vista Ridge Rangers with an outcome of a 1-1 tie. This past Tuesday they fought hard against the Georgetown Eagles, but ended up with a 2-1 loss.
“The junior varsity played well in the first half,” varsity soccer Coach Russ Girard said. “They’ve had an issue with getting up to game speed and they were able to do that with Isaac Raya scoring the first goal.”
The team as a whole is good, but some players stuck out to Girard in this past game.
The next JV game will be tomorrow against Vandegrift at Vandegrift HS beginning at 5:30p.m.
