Second Victory for Freshman Football

by Claire Kyllonen, Staff Writer

Amidst a slew of losses from their upper-classmen teams, the Freshman Red and Blue teams have shown they can stand their ground, with both teams claiming victories against the Pflugerville Hendrickson Hawks on Thursday, September 5. The Red team final score was 26-8, and the Blue team final score was 9-6.

One of the highlights was during the Blue team’s game, which included a 99-yard pass by Malcolm Wright-Harris.

“We reached into one of our little bag of tricks,” Coach Clay Richards said.

For their upcoming games this week, Coach Richards said they plan to work more on offense.

“We had a few scoring opportunities that we missed, but we definitely just gotta get better at running the ball. That’s the main thing,” Richards said.
