Lions Outrun by Mustangs

The Lions lost to the Manor Mustangs on Friday, September 13, 32-27 at Manor stadium. During the first half, the Mustangs took the reins. At the end of the half, they lead 14-0.

“Our defense played well. They kind of gave up some plays early and then they settled sown and gave us opportunities the second half, kept getting stops. They stopped a fake punt” and “intercepted a pass for us,” Coach Bridges said.

In the second half, the Lions brought their game and took the lead 20-17, but with 3:30 left in the game, the Mustangs took the lead 32-27 which would be the ending score of the game.

“I really felt good when the game was over in terms of just improvement,” Bridges said. “I thought we were so much better than we were before.”

The Lions play the Pflugerville Panthers on Friday, September 20. Good luck Lions!
