Girls end season on high note

Tuesday night, girl’s varsity basketball closed on a high note. Being 7-7 in district, a positive remembrance has come of the season.

“I think we made some great strides this season,” Jonathan Lamb, coach, said. “We did not win as many games as we would have liked, or reach the play-offs, but I think we laid the foundation for the future success of the program.”

Players have also had a positive outlook on the season as well as the team as a whole.

“I respect my team for working hard and never giving up,” said Maria Parra, senior and team captain. “Coach Lamb stressed that we should never be selfish on the court.”

Although four seniors are leaving, the young talent of the team will continue working hard in hopes of an even better season next year.

“We are going to continue to work and improve,” said Lamb. “We have eight girls returning from this year’s varsity team along with some young talent that will hopefully contribute.”
