The Softball team has had a great season. They made it to playoffs and will only improve.
“I think we worked really hard out there. We actually gave it our all,” Ashley Yebra, senior, said. “I think our team deserved to win, but just because we deserved to win doesn’t mean we get to win.”
Unfortunately, the girls will lose their coach for next season; Coach Fregia has decided to retire.
“We thought it was a joke and we were waiting for her to say ‘just kidding,’ and she never did,” Yebra said.
The team will also be losing three of their players, seniors Lacey Lindsey, Lakin Carpenter, and Ashley Yebra, as they are graduating.
“I know they’re gonna do great and I know they’re gonna succeed,” Yebra said. “It’s gonna be hard without their seniors there to support them, but our new upperclassmen coming in are gonna be a great support and they’re gonna work hard; they know what’s best for the team.”
