Softball wins in final district game
The Lady Lions softball team finishes off district play with another win against Dripping Springs. The Lady Lions finished the game with a 2-1 victory.
“I thought we did a good job scoring early, and keeping the momentum on our side for the most part,” junior Hailey MacKay said. “We need to execute better with runners in scoring position, and we need to score more runs.”
With the regular season ending, the Lady Lions now set their sights set on the playoffs.
“We’ll be practicing hard,” MacKay said, “and making sure we’re taking quality reps in the cages, and on the field and just appreciating every moment we have left with our seniors.”
The JV Lady Lions game against Dripping Springs ended in a tie 8-8. Varsity’s first playoff game will be May 1st vs Bastrop at Westlake High School at 7 p.m.
