“Towards the beginning of the year it was a lot better, but recently it hasn’t been as good, we haven’t had a lot of time to practice together that is, if we do get more chances to practice together then it’ll be more effective,” said Rexrode when talking about his doubles partner Orkun.

Mixed-Doubles faced a challenging Eastview MX-doubles match when junior Adhithya Balaji and sophomore Emilee Scanlon scored 6-4 in their first set, 0-6 in their second set, but pulled off the victory in the final set with a score of 10-6.

The varsity tennis team came away with a close win against the Patriots with a final score of 11-8 with the Lions claiming the victory.

“Team wise we’ve been doing adequately like our guys team is really good but our girls team is really young,” said Flesner.

The Lions faced off against Georgetown later in the week in what would result a hard fought loss.

G-Doubles was swept by the Eagles with Snieder and Higgins scoring 6-3 in their first set and 6-2 in their second set giving Georgetown the victory. “In terms of their game I think they’ve improved a lot, like results not so much,” said Rexrode. “But that goes without saying cause every team gets better, we are definitely getting better.”
