Leander Volleyball Strives for Excellence

The Lady Lions volleyball team played last Friday against the Rouse Raiders. Coach A noted that after winning the first two games the team “lost focus” but were able to rebound and win their last game.

The Lady Lions ran a tri-middle defense against the Raiders and had outstanding blocks from senior Lauren Conner and junior Megan Slan.

Sophomore Autumn Lockly came up with seven kills, behind Conner with eight and Megan Slan with thirteen kills.

Junior Erica Luke played back row, and came up with a remarkable 15 digs and four assists.

Leander is scheduled to playRound Rock again on Wednesday, October 17. The team’s record stands at 21-15.
