The new facility, which opened early May, features updated equipment, improved air conditioning, and more space for athletes to train. The renovation came just in time for the team’s offseason workouts and summer conditioning sessions, giving players a fresh environment to prepare for next season.
“It’s a massive improvement from the last weight room,” said freshman Ezekiel Londos. “It has brought our team together a lot more.”
Sophomore Riley McAden, one of the varsity team leaders, said the upgraded climate and gear helps them train harder and smarter.
“The climate is better because there’s better air conditioning. The new equipment is really nice to work with, and I can’t wait to get our new dumbbells,” McAden said. “I like to lift with intensity and set an example for my team. I also like to rile people up and yell at them to keep people motivated.”
With the new space ready to go, the team is already seeing the payoff in morale and motivation. The upgraded weight room is not just about lifting weights it’s about lifting each other up.
“The new weight room is a major improvement,” sophomore Zachary Barker said. “I think the new equipment is really nice, and I’m very excited to use it heading into the summer and the next season.”
