HOSA Hosts Blood Drive

by Matthew Grissom, Staff Writer

The HOSA blood drive is asking for volunteers to donate blood. The signup sheets are located in the cafeteria during all lunches, and continue all the way until Tuesday. The blood will be sent to 37 medical hospitals all over Texas. Blood will be collected Wednesday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Remember, in order to sign up, volunteers need to be at least 17 years old and something to prove the donor’s age. Volunteers are also required to eat something before they get blood drawn so their blood sugar is up and they don’t pass out.

HOSA will offer food after if volunteers need to get back on their feet.

“Please consider giving the gift of life because YOU ARE somebody’s type,” HOSA teacher Amber Hall said.
