Ah, ‘tis the season of changing leaves, breezy weather, and most importantly, the pumpkins. With the arrival of fall, people can finally put on their walking shoes, get out their carving tools, and yes that’s right ladies and gentlemen, take a visit to the local pumpkin patch. Looking for one to visit? Here is a list of some of the best pumpkin patches here in Austin. 

Nomad Ranch

Being just one of the many pumpkin patches in Austin, Nomad Ranch hosts a great deal of services. Whether for hayrides, feeding cows or stopping by to buy some of their beef, Nomad Ranch makes pumpkin patches 10 times better while ensuring that families have a lot of fun. Nomad Ranch is located in Bertram, TX, only 27 minutes from Leander. It is family-owned and is measured to be about 138 acres. Overall, the ranch makes for good entertainment, and a great place to enjoy with family and friends. 

Barton Hill Farms

Rated by some as the most scenic farm venue in Central Texas, Barton Hill Farms hosts a great fall festival with a pumpkin patch being included in the mix. Currently, dates range from Oct. 19 through Nov. 3, and they are open on Saturdays from 10 a.m to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. From tasty foods to multiple attractions, Barton Hill Farms proves to be a great location for family bonding. Their pumpkin patch is a main attraction as families race to get photos and pick out pumpkins from the field. As for admission, fall festival tickets are non-refundable, and children two and under receive a free ticket (valid one day only).  The gate price for each person three years and older is $15.95 plus tax, however, with an online purchase, tickets are $13.95 plus tax. So go ahead and visit, with endless opportunities here, anyone is sure to have a good time! 

Anderson Terrace

For those looking to celebrate special occasions, Anderson Terrace has got you covered. From weddings to birthday parties, Anderson Terrace is known to be a premier Austin venue. However, their pumpkin patch is a great accommodation to an already great attraction. Located on Anderson Mill Road, Anderson Terrace has a great deal of games, beverages, foods, activities and much more. Admission is $5 and pumpkins range from $2 and up. There is also free parking and room for school field trips. There are so many pumpkins to choose from, and plenty of activities for families and friends, so go try it out. 

Evergreen Farms

Although they’re usually known for selling Christmas trees in the Winter, Evergreen farms has a great pumpkin patch that’s enjoyable for family and friends. Open on Saturdays and Sundays, the Pumpkin Hunt, is a family friendly activity that allows people to purchase pumpkins of all sizes as well as enjoy multiple activities. People of all ages can take part in pumpkin painting, as well as get a load of concessions from the concession stand. Admission and parking are free, however different activities range from $2.50 to $5.00. A 20% discount is offered to all active military personnel and first responders. With all these ongoing activities throughout the day, Evergreen Farms is sure to leave a lasting impression on all of its visitors and will be inviting people back for more with a load of games and great family fun. 

The Jersey Barnyard 

Known by most as a milk farm, The Jersey Barnyard is a great place for family and friends to visit and enjoy endless activities. Hosting family tours and fall events with one being the pumpkin patch, The Jersey Barnyard has received a great deal of support and good ratings. At the farm, there is a huge selection of pumpkins to choose from. They have many options ranging from Jack-O-Lanterns to ceramic pumpkins and decorative corn stalks. Every Saturday in October, the family farm hosts free pumpkin painting with the purchase of a pumpkin from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. While the pumpkin patch is one of the main attractions, The Jersey Barnyard also hosts other activities involving pumpkins such as The Great Pumpkin Run. Providing activities and entertainment for all, the Jersey Barnyard proves to be a great attraction for people of all ages.
