The biggest movie of the year has finally come to the movie theater. This is the first Star Wars movie that isn’t released in May.

The most anticipated movie of this year and probably the decade for me has finally come out. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the seventh movie in the Star Wars franchise and is the first one to be made since creator of the series, George Lucas, sold the rights to Disney for 4 billion dollars. Director J.J Abrams who was also behind the Star-Trek movies has come to handle the big responsibility that is directing the Star Wars movies. While it’s not the best one by any means at all, it is quite clear that it is way better than the prequel films and in my opinion, better than Return of the Jedi. I would give this movie 4 out of 5 stars.

The new characters in this movie are really interesting and fit right into the Star Wars franchise, Finn is awesome and viewers really feel for him and why he is so afraid of the First Order. Poe Dameron is also a really cool character and he is the character out of everyone that I wanted to see the most. Kylo Ren is really a force to be reckoned with. BB-8 is great too, he is so cool to look at and he has such a personality to him for being a lifeless droid. However, all my main complaints all center around one thing, Rey. She does things that are so unbelievable and how she won’t move on because she is waiting for her family, gag me. The old generation is great and it’s really something special to see them all together again.

The story is fine but it doesn’t do anything new or original. Hardcore Star Wars fans will notice right after leaving the theater that this movies plot is the exact same as the original Star Wars. That does not mean its bad, I just wish they took more chances and told the audience a story that we have never seen before. Even still, I feel like I was not cheated out at all, besides Rey of course. The old and new characters besides Rey, are all really cool and Abrams really captured the heart and soul of the entire series. Movie tickets are beings sold all across the country, go and see this movie, and may the force be with you.
