Val’s Staff Picks

Artist: Gabrielle Aplin. This artist is an English singer-songwriter. She was largely recognized on Youtube when she posted a cover of the song “Liar and the Lighter” by You and Me at Six. I’ve been listening to her for about a year now. She’s very talented and I love her style of music. She is definitely one of my favorites right now. My favorite song of hers is “Ghosts.”

TV show: Gossip Girl. Gossip Girl is an American teen drama television series based on the book series by Cecily Von Ziegesar. The show is made up of drama and romance. This show consumed my life over the summer. I saw it on Netflix and decided to give the first episode a try because I was bored. I’m so glad that I did because I fell in love with it and now I can’t get enough.

Item:  My bracelet. Two years ago, my boyfriend bought a brown, leather bracelet for me in Disney World and got his name, “Aaron”, engraved in it. He also bought one for his self that he got “Val” engraved in. In the past two years, I haven’t gone very many days without wearing it. It’s really important to me and my left wrist feels naked without it.

Food: Chick-fil-a. I either get the chicken sandwich or the 8-count nugget meal. Their waffle fries are delicious. Their lemonade is my favorite drink. Every time I eat there, I stash one or two packages of their Chick-fil-a sauce in my bag because it’s absolutely glorious.
