On March 24, the Leander Lions played against the Vandegrift Vipers at Leander.

It was a hard fought game but the Lions fell behind with a score of 8-4. The offense started out strong with hits by junior Cameron Castillo, senior Andrew Alaniz, and senior Jacob Pool. The game was pitched by junior Joel Miller and he threw very well.

“The team started out strong and I am proud of them we need to make more contact with the ball and limiting some errors here and there,” head coach Matt Grissom said.

The team will play Cedar Park Timberwolves on Monday instead of Tuesday due to STAAR testing and then they travel to play Cedar Park again on Thursday instead of Friday due to Good Friday holiday. Both games are at 7 p.m.
