The varsity baseball team went to Marble Falls this Tuesday and played a very hard fought game. They came out strong with a score of 2-0.

Junior Joel Miller took the mound and he threw a one-hitter. He pitched the entire game and led his team to victory. The varsity as a whole had eight hits and took the lead very early in the game.

“The team played great with great pitching and great hitting from the entire team.” Head Coach Matt Grissom said.

On Friday, the Mustangs came to Leander, but the team came out short with a score of 7-6. The team took the lead early in the game but Marble Falls came in and took it back. In the last inning, the team started to get more runs but they fell short. The pitcher, senior Brady Ewing, started out strong and pitched a really good game. Miller had the best hit of the game getting a double and 2 runs.

“Even though that we lost, I am proud of the boys for not giving up and they shouldn’t be ashamed of themselves,” Coach Grissom said.

Varsity plays again on Tuesday, April 14 against Eastview at Eastview High School.

“We’ll play more as a team, and we’ll come out with a win,” junior Joel Miller said.
