On Oct. 4, Varsity volleyball played Vista Ridge on a home conference match where they lost with a score of 3-1.

“Vista is one of our biggest rivals, so it really hurt us not beating them,” senior right-side hitter Hannah Ross said.

Varsity lost the first two sets with scores of 25-17 and 25-19, but they won the third set with a score of 25-12.

“We started playing much better,” Ross said. “Everyone started communicating more and putting in the effort to win.”

The next game is on Friday at Round Rock high school. If they win, the varsity team will be going to playoffs.

“We are working hard toward playoffs,” Ross said. “Hopefully, we can come out with a win on Friday.”
