Cheerleaders Head to Houston

The cheerleaders are scheduled to go to Houston, Texas this Thursday.  The team will perform with other cheer squads from the Houston area.

They plan to meet the Houston Texans Cheerleaders and learn material for a halftime performance this Sunday at a Houston Texans NFL football game at Reliant Stadium. The stadium seats over 70,000 fans, and with their recent win against the Chicago Bears, the Texans will surely have a huge crowd for the performance. “I’m really excited to get to meet all the cheerleaders! I hope we will be able to do this for the next couple of years,” sophomore Bri Bromley said.

Although the halftime preformance will not be televised, cheerleading coach Alicia Carlisle plans to record it. “I’m super excited to be given this one in a life time opportunity. I’m so happy to be a part of a program the offers these opportunities,” junior Nicole McDaniel said.
