The varsity team competed at WGI in Dallas and placed 3rd place, and the JV team competed at JV state championships and won 2nd place.

“My favorite part is just how close everyone is and how easy it was to make new friends,” sophomore Natalie Snyder said. “The amount of practice that we do every week [is what helped us do well at state].”

At WGI, varsity won 5th in the preliminary round, 2nd in the their round and then finished 3rd in the finals.

“My favorite part about winter guard is getting closer to each other and learning all this new choreography with flag/rifle and having that nervous feeling before you get on the stage and performing to the audience,” sophomore Ari Alvarado said.

Next up the winter guard will have the varsity send-off performance on April 1 and TCGC championships in College Station on April 2.

The amount of practice that we do every week [is what helped us do well at state].
