The varsity and JV Winter Guard competed at the Texas Color Guard Circuit at Cedar Park for the first time as a Texas Bandmasters Association featured Color Guard team. Varsity won first place and the JV placed third.

“As a team I feel like we improved on our attitudes and the way we get along with each other,” junior Karina Martinez said. “We have done a better job of trusting each other and helping each other as a team get through shows.”

Both teams performed their regular shows “My Body” with the varsity and the JV with “Matisse in Motion”.

“We vibe off each other,” junior Emma Vestal said. “Energy spreads and when we perform, and every member of the team tends to pick up on the emotion.”

Next up both teams will compete at the Winter Guard International in Kyle, Texas at Lehman High School on February 27.

We have done a better job of trusting each other and helping each other as a team get through shows.
