Choir celebrates successful Winter Concert

Sophomore Julia Bennett sings a solo rendition of Mark Lowry’s “Mary, Did You Know?”

Last night, the Choral Program hosted their annual Winter Concert with a mix of classic and contemporary holiday songs.

Included were:

  • “Various Themes on ‘Fa-La-La'” by Chuck Birdwell
  • Prayer by Rolf Lovland & Fionnuala Sherry, sung by freshman Lindsay Devlin
  • “Silent Night” by Franz Gruber, soloist: freshman Kate Wells
  • “Tardy Bell” original lyrics by senior Luis Torres, Director Spencer Wiley, and Kirby Shaw, soloists: junior Annika Low and sophomore Evan Hays
  • “Grown-Up Christmas List” by David Foster and Linda Thompson-Jenner, sung by seniors Jordan Bird and Brendan Bird
  • “Carol of the Bells” by Mykola Leontovych and Peter J. Wilhousky, sung by The Lionheart Singers
  • “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” by Frank Loesser, sung by senior Joshua French, sophomore Kelsey Pirc, senior Shekhiynah Larks, senior Juan-Miguel Perez, accompaniment by Leach Knight-Schumacher
  • “Christmas Tonight” by Dave Barnes & Clint Lagerberg
  • “Seasons of Love” by Jonathan Larson
