On Nov. 1, business-owner Jeffree Star and Youtuber Shane Dawson released their new collaboration, a full makeup line called the Shane x Jeffree Collection. Within the first 30 minutes of the launch, Jeffree Star Cosmetics sold out of the entire range- including two eyeshadow palettes, six liquid lipsticks, a lip gloss, and other pig-embellished makeup bags and mirrors. In total, over 1 million Conspiracy and Mini Controversy palettes were sold the first day. 

This was the biggest drop for the cosmetic company to date, and it still left millions of fans without any product. The site also faced some technical difficulties, crashing due to the high traffic levels.

The makeup line was made available for pre-order on Nov. 5, but the collection quickly sold out. 

Rather than the palette being a limited-edition collaboration, the entire range is a permanent addition to Star’s makeup line. So, it’ll be for sale until people stop buying it. 

The products aren’t expected to be restocked again until early 2020, but the entirety of the launch will be shown in the seventh episode of Dawson’s Youtube series, The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star. No release date for the episode has been set.
