In preparation for graduation on May 29, cap and gown pickup has started in the front of the school and will continue in the 1100’s office.
“The biggest challenge is when we have a long line and we’re trying to get caps and gowns out to students as quickly as we can,” Sheila Kothmann, a sales representative with Herff Jones, said. “We asked the students to wait in a line and not rush up to the table. They have been good about that.”
Herff Jones delivered 520 caps and gowns May 6 but students can still order graduation material for the ceremony to be held at the HEB Center at 6 p.m
“I’m actually really sad, because I love school. I hate it, but I love it,” senior Emilynn Jones said. “I’m going to miss my friends, I’m going to miss the schedule and everything about school. I’m going to cosmetology school [after graduation]. I’ve always been the person to do hair and makeup for my family and friends, so I might as well put that into use. I’m looking forward to starting my new life, getting to go out on my own, making new friends and doing new things.”
