Junior Chase Cotton received the MVP award for the 2015-2016 year, and got 1st Team All-District, and Academic All-District. Juniors Kristian Murphy and Kobe Thompson received 2nd Team All-District awards. Junior JP Stevens received Honorable Mention for All-District.

“[Winning the award] feels pretty good,” Cotton said. “I worked really hard all year and it looks like it paid off.”

For team awards, Murphy received the Defensive Player of the Year award. Thompson received the Offensive Player of the Year, and senior David Bonner received the Lion Heart Award.

“I feel like I did well [this season],” Murphy said. “Usually I would have to guard one of the best players every single game, so it was a good challenge for me.”
