Seniors Matthew Long and Nancy Ibarra won prom king and queen last Saturday night, where they were crowned in front of all of their junior and seniors friends at the UT club. Students voted for king and queen in ballots handed out in classes.

“I’m honored to have won prom king,” Long said. “It’s awesome that my classmates chose me, and awesomer that they chose Nancy as well. I was very happy that Nancy and I got to share that moment that night and I thank everyone for picking us to be prom king and queen.”

They have both been together for four years and four months, because of this some students took to Twitter to voice their support for Long and Ibarra during the voting process. 

“I felt excitement for sure,” Ibarra said. “I’m just glad I won with Matthew.”
