On April 28, science classes including astronomy, earth systems and advanced placement environmental science left on a field trip around 8:30 a.m.. The field trip included approximately 50-60 junior and senior students. They arrived around 9:30 a.m. and conducted labs at Barton Creek before being released on their own around 10:40 a.m.. The students gathered back on the bus around 2 p.m. and arrived back to school at 3 p.m., and were released for the day. The field trip to Barton Springs was separated into two days, April 28-29, so both A and B day students could attend. The students performed stream profiles and water chemistry, on top of making meteorological observations as and a climate graph.
