Senior girls volleyball players were favored to and won the Students vs. Staff volleyball game 28-26 on Dec. 19 before school let out for winter break.
“Walking in, I thought we were going to win,” senior Kelsey Quinn said. “Our strategy [was] just to have fun. I feel like we played great. This game’s a great way to represent the seniors at our school, the students at our school, and just catch up at the end of the year.”
The staff played an intense game– diving, cheering and badmouthing took to the court.
“Every loss is actually win in our hearts,” world history teacher and coach Grant Britton said. “It’s a win because I get to work at Leander High School. I had fun playing. Next year, we’ve got to get more pyrotechnics and a little more professional wrestling in there.”
